The Seagulls claimed an impressive 3-1 win when the teams met at Stamford Bridge last September, when the second-half dismissal of Chelsea's Trevoh Chalobah appeared to be the turning point, with the Blues leading 1-0 prior to his red card. While the Londoners have the better record overall in fixtures between these teams, Brighton have won the last three meetings, including two victories here last season, one in the league and one in the FA Cup

The Gunners came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory in the reverse fixture at St James' Park last September, with Mikel Merino first equalising on 84 minutes before Gabriel scored a 96th-minute winner, while Nick Woltemade had put the Magpies ahead in the first half.
