The Springboks have won the last three Rugby Championship meetings between the nations, including a 48-7 victory in Mbombela in 2025, but Argentina famously stunned South Africa 29-28 when the sides last met in Buenos Aires in 2024. With two of the Southern Hemisphere's leading nations renewing their rivalry, an intense contest is expected as both teams look to make an early statement in the championship.
