France hold the edge in the long-running rivalry, winning significantly more of their over 100 Test meetings, while Ireland will be hoping to overturn that recent trend on French soil.

Bryan Mbuemo had given the hosts the lead in the 32nd minute before late goals from Mathys Tel and Richarlison looked like they had earned Spurs all three points, only for de Ligt's goal gave United a deserved point.

Fortunately for City fans they held on for the last 12 minutes to come away with three vital points.
